Douglas, Zeta-Jones tie the knot in New York
NEW YORK, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Wedding bells rang on Saturday
for actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who tied
the knot in a private ceremony in Manhattan's Plaza Hotel.
Hundreds of fans and dogged paparazzi photographers crowded
the sidewalks around the landmark hotel, hoping to catch a
glimpse of the high-profile couple and their celebrity guests.

Actors Danny DeVito, James Woods and Goldie Hawn and
director Oliver Stone were among the roughly 250 people in
attendance at the lavish ceremony, which reportedly cost the
newlyweds about $2 million.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones' May-November love affair -- he's
56, she's 31 -- has provided rich fodder for tabloids on both
sides of the Atlantic.
Douglas is Hollywood royalty, the son of actor Kirk Douglas
and the star of hit movies including ``Basic Instinct'' and ``Wall
Street.'' Zeta-Jones is the raven-haired, Welsh-born beauty who
wowed audiences with her sexy performance in the 1999 thriller,
The couple began dating in the spring of 1999 and became
engaged last New Year's Eve. Zeta-Jones gave birth to their
son, Dylan Michael, in August.
