Zeta Jones on song

Aug 9 2002

The Western Mail

CATHERINE Zeta Jones has proved she is in fine form to teach her little son how to limber up.

Dylan celebrated his second birthday yesterday with a Hollywood party of jelly and ice cream.

His actress mother can be seen in a sensational dance scene from the film version of the hit stage musical Chicago.

The Swansea-born actress, sporting a new bobbed hairstyle, tops the bill as murderess Velma Kelly in the show about two singing rivals who end up in jail.

Not only can the 32-year-old wife of Michael Douglas do the splits in daring fashion, she also has a voice that has no trouble belting out Chicago's big hits.

Elaine Overholt, the voice coach who prepared Zeta Jones for the film's songs, said, "Catherine loves musical theatre and she is so eager.

"She has a big, thick, alto voice and she kept getting better and better.
