Oct 11 2002

By Tara Cain

There's a feast of movies heading our way during the later part of the year - everything from the latest Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings to the latest superhero flick Daredevil.

But if you really can't wait that long to see them, here's a run down of the latest trailers you can catch on the internet.

It's time to crank up the glamour with the trailer for Chicago - the Hollywoodised version of the hit stage show.

Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones put on the ritz in a tale of murder, fame and scandal in 1920s Chicago.

The starlets play two of Americaís hottest celebrities - after killing their respective other halves.

And the pair will stop at nothing in their pursuit of fame and celebrity.

Weíve been teased with short trailers and a movie poster but now itís time to start getting really excited with a new full-length US trailer for the next installment of the wizard tale. And boy, is it good!

Enjoy Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh) unleashing a cage of pixies on his class, Harry opening Tom Riddleís diary, the famed flying car and Jason Isaacs in a long, blond wig proving deliciously menacing as the dastardly Lucious Malfoy.

This has to be one of the most anticipated sequels of all time.

J R R Tolkeinís famed fantasy trilogy novel moves on to the second installment with promises of more fabulous fights, more action and more weird and wonderful creatures. Plus thereís the promise of much more of the strange Gollum as well as the ancient trees race of Ents.

Ben Affleck squeezes himself in to a red, rubber suit to play the latest superhero, Matt Murdock - a man driven to fight crime, despite a childhood accident that robbed him of his sight.

Man mountain Michael Clarke Duncan also stars alongside Colin Farrell (Minority Report) as a rather strange chap with a target imprinted on his forehead.

The crew of the Enterprise find themselves on the planet Romulus where they discover a dire threat to Earth (but then donít they always). But the Romulans have said theyíre ready to begin peace talks with the Federation.

Thereís a Captain Picard clone, Riker and Troiís wedding and you just know you can expect a whole heap of nifty special effects.

Letís hope itís more Next Generation than Wrath of Khan.
