Catherine Zeta-Jones has gotten permission to build a large house in her hometown, despite a neighbor's objections. The 33-year-old actress grew up in Mumbles, a seaside suburb of Swansea, and reportedly wants her children to stay close to their Welsh roots. She has a 2-year-old son with her husband, actor Michael Douglas, and the couple is expecting a second child in March. One neighbor, who did not want to be identified, complained to authorities about plans for the three-story house, saying its large picture windows will overlook the bedroom and bathroom of his own home."We have had one letter of objection," said a spokesman for Swansea Council, who said Monday that the building plans had been approved.Douglas, 58, and Zeta-Jones already own homes in New York; Los Angeles; Aspen, Colo.; Bermuda; and Majorca, Spain. Their Welsh home will overlook the Bristol Channel, close to a trailer park and a private housing development.
