CHICAGO STORMS WEST END
The big screen version of the musical Chicago has made it into the top 10 UK film chart.

That is despite only being shown at one cinema.

Chicago does not go on general UK release until January 17.

But previews at the Warner West End cinema in London took 81,000 in the four days after its Boxing Day release.

Chicago entered the chart at number eight, ahead of Dirty Pretty Things and Kaante.

It stars Richard Gere, Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellweger.

There is little change in the rest of the UK box office charts following the festive period.

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers holds on to the top spot.

It is followed by Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Die Another Day and Sweet Home Alabama.
