NEW YORK: In her dreams she hears: "And the Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to . . . Catherine Zeta Jones."
But there's bad news. It seems that Miss Zeta Jones's most recent starring role in the High Court in London has done her few favours.
The academy members musing on the awards are thought to regard her legal action as "silly".
Liz Smith put it succinctly in her influential column in the New York Post: "Catherine and Michael Douglas's comments about unauthorised photos of their wedding seem kind of silly."
Miss Smith's comments are likely to influence many of the 5000 Academy voters who have not yet made their decisions.
