“Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas” is too talky for kids and too one-dimensional for adults, so nobody can win with this one. Brad Pitt sounds boring, not virile, when he voices Sinbad, the rogue pirate who’s all out for himself until he tangles with his best friend’s fiancée (Catherine Zeta-Jones who manages to inject personality into her superficial character). Both are bugged by the wily Goddess of Chaos (Michelle Pfeiffer in a character that matches her sexy image), but everything falls predictably in place at the end. The dialogue sounds like it was lifted from a “Little Rascals” episode about building a club house. It’s that childish and that superficial.
