More about the film...
Whether you're a child or a child-at-heart, if you love animated films chances are you've been anticipating the arrival of swashbuckling adventure tale 'Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas' to local cinema screens. The wait is over, with this delightful film, directed by Tim Johnson and Patrick Gilmore and produced by Mireille Soria ('Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron') and Jeffrey Katzenberg ('Shrek'), opening on Friday, September 12.
Stars Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer, Joseph Fiennes and Dennis Haysbert have lent their voices to 'Legend of the Seven Seas', an illustrious cast indeed.
The story goes thus: Sinbad (Brad Pitt), the most daring and notorious rogue ever to sail the seven seas, has spent his life asking for trouble, and trouble has finally answered...in a big way. Framed for stealing one of the world’s most priceless and powerful treasures — the Book of Peace — Sinbad has one chance to find and return the precious book or his best friend Proteus (Joseph Fiennes) will die. Sinbad decides not to take that chance and instead sets a course for the fun and sun of the Fiji Islands.
However, Proteus’ beautiful betrothed, Marina (Catherine Zeta-Jones), has stowed away, determined to make sure that Sinbad fulfills his mission. To make matters worse, Eris, the goddess of chaos (Michelle Pfeiffer), dispatches both monstrous creatures and the elements to do battle with Sinbad along the way.
All in all, a fun, action-filled adventure that's sure to charm young and old alike.

What the international critics are saying:
"Clever banter and eye-popping set pieces raise it above most other DreamWorks' non-Shrek fare. Still, it's pretty standard-issue."
"[A] sharp and thrilling adventure combining 21st century animation technology with a refreshingly retro story of heroes and villains, and giant creatures that haunt the skies and seas."
"From the cheerfully anachronistic dialogue by Gladiator scribe John Logan to the spirited voice work by Michelle Pfeiffer, Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the non-visual elements of the film are great, swashbuckling fun."
"The film is adept and generally enjoyable."
