Zeta-jones + Moore Get Tough With Anorexia
October 15, 2003

Actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julianne Moore have added their voices to a harrowing new TV commercial which aims to warn about the hell of anorexia.

The celebrity mums, who themselves have never suffered at the hands of an eating disorder, were keen to help emphasize the problems anorexia causes when they learned of the growing numbers of teenage girls who go to extremes to stay thin.

In the black and white pencil-drawn animated advertisements, young girls are seen throwing up into toilet bowls, while Moore states, "You'll be dead before you're thin enough," and the Welsh actress adds, "You cannot flush away your problems."
