CATHERINE Zeta-Jones's new house in her home town will be ready for Christmas, the builders have promised.
The actress, 34, and husband Michael Douglas, 59, plan to stay at the £1million mansion just a few weeks a year.
It is believed the Oscar winning Hollywood couple and their children, three-year-old Dylan and Carys, seven months, want to spend Christmas at their sixth home.
Work began on the 1.1-acre site in Swansea last July. The family already have expensive homes in Los Angeles, New York, Majorca, Bermuda and Aspen in Colorado.
Architect Michael Batcup said: "Everything is going very well. It will be ready for Catherine to move in by Christmas."
A neighbour said: "Catherine is a real home-loving girl and will be delighted that her daughter will be able to spend her first Christmas in Wales."
But not all neighbours are happy with the new house after trees had to be cut down on the site.
