Proud Douglases Double Up for Demille Prize
Last Update: 1/26/2004 8:36:27 AM

Michael and Kirk Douglas are the first father and son to pick up the Golden Globe Award's Cecil B. Demille prize.

Kirk picked up his achievement honor in 1968, while Michael claimed his Sunday night, and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, was particularly proud.

She says, "I'm a very proud wife tonight. It's nice to applaud my man for everything he has done for the industry, and his talent."

Douglas' pal and former New York roommate, Danny DeVito, and Basic Instinct co-star Sharon Stone presented the Demille award to the movie star.
