'Ocean's Twelve' cast counting on Zeta-Jones

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES -- Catherine Zeta-Jones has joined Julia Roberts in the cast of Ocean's Twelve.

"Now I have two of the most beautiful women in the world in this picture," producer Jerry Weintraub told The Associated Press late Tuesday.

Roberts starred in 2001's Ocean's Eleven with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia, directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by Weintraub. That film was a remake of the Frank Sinatra movie.

Weintraub said adding Zeta-Jones to the sequel's cast is a dream come true. Zeta-Jones won an Oscar for her role in 2002's Chicago.

"I think this is my crowning achievement. I've been wanting to work with her and we had this wonderful role for a woman and it's hard to find someone of that stature, an Oscar winner," he said.

Shooting is scheduled to begin April 12. Clooney, Pitt, Damon and Garcia also are returning for the sequel, the producer said.
