  'Terminal' Stalled
Wednesday, June 2, 2004

The Terminal brings the combined talents of Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Slam dunk, right? Weeelll, maybe not. The movie was set to premiere this Friday, but DreamWorks has decided to postpone the red-carpet outing until June 9, with press screenings delayed as well.

The reason, according to DreamWorks, is that composer John Williams was a little behind schedule as a result of his work on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Oh, and Spielberg is still fine-tuning.

Then there are those persistent rumors that scenes were still being reshot yesterday.

If this were anyone other than Spielberg, all of this would be a virtual death-knell. Still, the actual release date hasn't been pushed...yet. The Terminal is set to debut in theatres on June 18.
