Catherine Zeta-Jones in Real-Life Fatal Attraction Case

Hollywood star Catherine Zeta-Jones has allegedly received violent death threats from a woman who claims she had an affair with her actor husband, Michael Douglas.

Student Dawnette Knight is in prison charged with making 24 criminal threats and stalking Douglas, who coincidentally played a husband who was tormented by a mad ex-lover in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction.

Knight argues, "I met Michael in Miami in 2002. I was attending a party for the magazine Ocean Drive and Michael was there without Catherine. Michael came over and introduced himself. Soon we were meeting at numerous events he had to attend around the country."

Douglas' spokesman says, "Her claims are preposterous. In one letter she threatened 'to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury.' But the police have the matter under control."

The accused was arrested in West Hollywood earlier this month and will make her second court appearance next Tuesday.

Meanwhile the glamorous couple are taking precautions by having bullet-proof glass installed in their Welsh mansion.
