ZETA-JONES HAS A ROUGH KNIGHT: The Actress’ Stalker Pleads Not Guilty

(Jun. 21, 2004) *The woman who stalked actress Catherine Zeta-Jones pleaded not guilty to the felony charges at an arraignment last Thursday. Dawnette Knight, 33, is being held on $1 million bail after being arrested last June 3rd at her Beverly Hills apartment.

During a four-month investigation, Knight targeted Zeta-Jones with "numerous threatening letters and phone calls," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The woman was charged

with one count of stalking and 25 counts of making “terrorist threats.”

Reps for the actress contacted authorities back in February, who were able to trace letters and phone calls to Knight, including a long-distance call to Austria where Zeta-Jones was filming “Ocean’s Twelve.”

Why in the world is this woman stalking, of all people, Catherine Zeta-Jones? Knight claims she had an affair with the Welsh beauty’s husband, actor Michael Douglas from 2002 through this year. (Oh, OK.)
