CATHERINE Zeta-Jones has snubbed her Welsh homeland by insisting she prefers to live in America.
The Hollywood star who grew up in Swansea originally moved to the US to further her career.
But she says that since marrying Michael Douglas, she considers it home.
Catherine, who has two children, Dylan and Carys, with Michael, told US magazine In Style, "America has been great to me.
"It's not perfect, but it's much better than anywhere else in the world."
Zeta-Jones is renowned for being fiercely proud of her Welsh background.
But she admitted she now classes herself as an American despite being an immigrant.
She added, "I'm an immigrant - I have a green card but that's OK. I'm married to an American. My children are American. I'm going to wave the flag."
Zeta-Jones, 34, also gave an insight into the key to her and Michael's marriage.
She said, "I never put the phone down or go out the door without telling him I love him."
The actress recently increased security at her new home in Mumbles following alleged death threats from a woman claiming she had an affair with Michael.
