Zeta's got Tex appeal

Oct 3 2004

Rachel Mainwaring, Wales on Sunday

EVER-GLAM Catherine Zeta Jones may be starring opposite Brad Pitt in a movie version of epic Texas oil barons' TV soap Dallas.

The mooted flick will be very much in the current tradition of 80s TV favourites being remade for the big screen like Starsky and Hutch and The Dukes of Hazzard.

And some of the biggest stars in the biz are reportedly being courted for the main roles.

Pitt is up for either the plum JR or Bobby Ewing role while Mumbles beauty Zeta does seem lip-glossed enough for the Pamela Ewing part, originally played by the lovely Victoria Principal.

World Movie Magazine also reckons Melanie Griffith is tipped to play JR's put-upon missus, Sue Ellen, while other Hollywood contenders for top parts include John Travolta, Mel Gibson, George Clooney and Matt Damon.
