Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones may be the answer to an ailing Welsh football club's prayers.

The Swansea-born actress is said to be considering buying Llanelli AFC for £350,000.

She could follow in the footsteps of millionaire cookery broadcaster and writer Delia Smith who is joint owner of Premiership side Norwich City and has been credited with a revival in the club's fortunes.

Llanelli is owned by Catherine's uncle Robert Jones and is in desperate need of a cash injection.
