WONDER WOMAN, FANTASTIC FOUR, JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE COMIC REEL WRAP FOR DECEMBER 15
by Hannibal Tabu, Staff Writer
Posted: December 15, 2004

WONDER WOMAN

Ain't It Cool News is rumoring that "Joss Whedon is in final negotiations with Joel Silver and Warner Bros. to write and direct WONDER WOMAN for Summer 2006 ... The only possible thing standing in this picture's way is X-MEN 3. I know what's been said, but Fox is still coming after him hard to direct that, and that's a tough thing for a guy like Joss to pass up."

Meanwhile, actress Minnie Driver is still stumping for the role, discussing while promoting "Phantom of the Opera," according to Sci Fi Wire. "I think you're probably going to see Catherine Zeta-Jones squished into a corset and a pair of shorts quicker than you'd see me," Driver said. "I might have more currency now, after 'Phantom,' because she is an operatic superhero, in my opinion. That's actually going to be my new angle, my new pitch. I knew there was a reason I came here today, and it was to hone my pitch to Warner Brothers."

FANTASTIC FOUR

According to Comics Continuum, Fantastic Four producer Ralph Winter said that the productions time in Vancouver is drawing to a close. "We are almost finished," Winter said. "We wrap first unit Dec 17, and second unit soon after. (We're) shooting four units right now, getting all we need before the holidays. We're working on a trailer for late December that is awesome, and we are anxious to jump into post! Full speed ahead to July 4."

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Comics Continuum also has a set of screen captures from this Saturday's episode, "Wake the Dead," a story by Dwayne McDuffie and Bruce Timm. Timm also provides the voice of Solomon Grundy.
