Celebrity watchers who are just dying to rub shoulders with Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones should put Saturday, February 26 on their calendars.
She will be the star attraction at a gala National Dance Foundation of Bermuda fundraiser that will take place that evening at Fairmont Southampton Resort.
Tickets are $250-a-head and Dance Foundation advisor Wendy Davis Johnson predicted that the black-tie affair, which is billed ‘An Evening with Catherine Zeta-Jones’, will be a sell-out.
Funds raised will help establish the Foundation’s international summer dance institute for promising local and overseas dancers, who will have to audition to get in.
The American Ballet Theatre will supply teachers. Members of its studio company will perform at the gala.
Ms. Zeta-Jones is a member of the Board of the National Dance Foundation.
Mrs. Johnson said the actress has a passion for dance. “She has been dancing her whole life,” she said.
