Catherine with brass pot

Husband And Wife Honours

Catherine Zeta-Jones sang a song from the musical Chicago as she was presented with a brass pudding pot.

The British actress was crowned Woman of the Year by the Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatrical group.

She sang: "Give me four more Oscars or I'll make 'The Haunting Two', When you're good to Catherine, Catherine's good to you."

The actress, who won an Oscar for her performance in Chicago, appeared in The Haunting in 1999.

The awards are presented annually to performers who have made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment".

The tradition started in 1795 when the theatrical society was set up and members had to bring a 'pot of hasty pudding' to meetings.

Husband Michael Douglas was named as the society's Man of the Year in 1992.

Previous winners of the title include Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts and last year Sandra Bullock.

Actor Tim Robbins is due to be crowned Hasty Pudding Man of the Year 2005 later this month.
