The sequel to Steven Soderbergh’s popular “Ocean’s Eleven” (2001) has almost as much class, wit and charm as its predecessor.
The sequel likely cost a bit more — tack on the salary of cast addition Catherine Zeta-Jones, who does an alluring job as an Europol investigator and an ex of one of the Eleven.
In “Ocean’s Twelve,” the star-studded cast returns, including Andy Garcia as scorned casino owner Terry Benedict, who manages to track down each of the 11 to warn him — he wants his money back. With interest — or else.
Now Danny Ocean (George Clooney) must pull off the biggest heist of his career — three different scores across Europe. Will his new bride, Tess (Julia Roberts), approve? Will the rest of the thieving gang go along with the idea?
The movie also stars Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Casey Affleck and Bernie Mac.
The film is rated PG-13 and is playing at St. Andrews Cinema; (803) 772-7469.
