Zeta Jones could take 'Dallas' role

London, England, Mar. 30 (UPI) -- Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones is reportedly set to play Pamela Ewing in a movie adaptation of the 1980s TV series "Dallas."

Ewing's role, that of Bobby Ewing's glamorous but sweet-natured wife, was made famous by Victoria Principal in the U.S. series that ran from 1978 to 1987, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.

Other stars may take different roles in the upcoming film. Brad Pitt is said to be in the running to play Bobby Ewing, the role that made Patrick Duffy's name on the show.

Melanie Griffith is thought to be up for J.R's alcoholic wife, Sue Ellen, originally played by Linda Gray, and Burt Reynolds could get Larry Hagman's legendary role as J.R. Ewing.
