The proceeds from the Seventh Annual Michael Douglas & Friends Presented by Lexus Celebrity Golf Event in Las Vegas will go to entertainers in need.

The funds raised during the Sunday event, held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and the Cascata Golf Club, will help the Motion Picture & Television Fund to provide health and community services.

Celebrities participating included: Alice Cooper, Andy Garcia, Teri Hatcher, Matt Lauer, Heather Locklear, William Petersen, Richie Sambora, Martin Sheen, James Woods and Douglas' wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

"Since our first celebrity golf event in 1998, we've raised more than $4 million to help maintain the 'safety net' of care provided by the Motion Picture & Television Fund," said Douglas. "And we owe a good part of our success to the involvement of the celebrity players who donate their time and (to) our very loyal and supportive corporate event partners."

For the first time, an eBay charity auction benefiting MPTF has been included. It runs May 9-19 and features VIP trips, celebrity experiences, signed items from the golf event and a new 2006 Lexus RX 400h (Hybrid) sports utility vehicle.
