Legend of Zorro Teaser
As you can see, Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have reprised their roles for the film. Director Martin Campbell has also returned. Rufus Sewell (Dark City, A Knight's Tale) has joined the cast along with Nick Chinlund.
It's still unconfirmed, but Banderas had hinted at one time that Sir Anthony Hopkins would return as the spirit of Don Diego de la Vega. "He has a lot more to tell me. It has a supernatural element," said Banderas.
Legend has Alejandro and his lovely wife Elena (Catherine Zeta-Jones) married with a 10-year-old son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso). Zorro continues to protect the poor and oppressed residents of the California territory, but Elena is growing weary of his exploits and believes they're taking a toll on the family. But when Zorro tries to stop a group of greedy land barons from undermining the statehood of California, Zorro finds that his family is in very real danger.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci wrote the screenplay. The film was shot on location in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Zorro opens September 23rd, 2005.
