Zeta-Jones Wedding Photo Appeal Dismissed
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - A British magazine that published unauthorized photos of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas' wedding won't have to pay additional damages to the couple nor to a rival publication that owned the exclusive rights to the photos.

On Wednesday, May 18, a judge dismissed an appeal by the couple for Hello! magazine to pay an increase over the initial $26,800 in damages awarded them in November 2003, reports Reuters.

Zeta-Jones was horrified by the wedding pictures, some of which showed Douglas feeding her cake. During the 2003 trial, she told the court, "I felt devastated ... I felt violated."

"The Douglases have secured a hollow victory, which is far from having their cake and eating it," says a Hello! legal team source.

In 2003, rival magazine OK! was awarded $1.7 million in damages since their exclusive photo deal with Zeta-Jones and Douglas to cover their 2000 wedding was ruined by Hello!'s spoiler photos. Wednesday, however, the judge ruled that OK!'s commercial rights weren't breached.

Zeta-Jones won a supporting actress Oscar for her role in "Chicago." She recently starred in the ensemble heist flick "Ocean's Twelve" and next stars in "The Legend of Zorro," which will be released in the fall.
