Zeta Jones in charity golf match

Catherine Zeta Jones and hubby Michael Douglas are teeing up on opposing sides for a celebrity version of the Ryder Cup.

The Welsh beauty has been confirmed to play on Colin Montgomerie's European team.

Douglas's US side will be captained by Mark O'Meara, and has Hollywood stud Rob Lowe on board.

The idea for the tournament, which takes place over the August Bank Holiday, was dreamed up by golf fans Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who are executive producers on the TV show.

Other names on the European team include media mogul Chris Evans, Charlotte Church's rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson, model Jodie Kidd, former Cold Feet star James Nesbitt, and singer Ronan Keating.

The All Star Cup will be presented by Terry Wogan, Kirsty Gallacher and Jamie Theakston.

The squads will compete at the 2010 Ryder Cup venue in South Wales, the Celtic Manor Resort.

A practice day will take place on Saturday August 27, followed by two days of competition.

Each match will consist of two players representing the US and two representing Europe.

It has not yet been decided which members of the teams will play against each other in each match.
