London - Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones may have the film star looks down to a tee but her swing was looking rough at a celebrity golf tournament in her native south Wales on Monday.

The 35-year-old wife of Hollywood star Michael Douglas, 60, missed her first couple of shots and hacked her way round the Roman Road course of the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, set to host the Ryder Cup in 2012.

The Welsh beauty's navy skirt with white piping went a fair way to winning over supporters but her shots were leaving her a little teed off.

When a fan tried to cheer her up by telling her she looked beautiful, Zeta-Jones replied: "Yes, but my golf is ugly."

She told Sky Sports television: "I had a bad back yesterday and now it's better I can't hit the ball."

Douglas, swimming legend Mark Spitz, singer Ronan Keating, The Sixth Sense film star Hayley Osment, Dallas actor Patrick Duffy, saxophonist Kenny G, former tennis pro Michael Chang and ex-international footballers Ruud Gullit, Ian Wright and Peter Schmeichel were among the other celebrities in the Europe versus United States golf clash.
