Wonder Woman To West End

Remember Lynda Carter? She's the seventies icon who starred as Wonder Woman in the hit TV show - but she's been a bit quiet since she hung up her spandex tights.

But now she's back - making her debut on the London stage in the West End production of Chicago.

The 54-year-old, who recently showed up in the movie version of The Dukes Of Hazzard, has been snapped up for an eight-week run in the show.

She'll be playing the role of scary jailer Mama Morton - the same part that landed Queen Latifah an Oscar nomination in the film version of the show.

Lynda's the latest in a long line of celebs who've showed up in the production.

TV presenter Denise Van Outen, ex-EastEnder Jill Halfpenny and actress Brooke Shields have all shown off their singing and dancing skills in the show in recent years.

But it's not the only time Lynda's been in the limelight lately.

With a Wonder Woman movie in the pipeline, she's been offering her views on who should take over the role where she left off.

And she's caused a bit of a stir by suggesting that Sandra Bullock and Catherine Zeta-Jones - both tipped to play the part - are too old for it.
