Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have been linked to the upcoming movie adaptation of 1980s TV series 'Dallas'.
Reporting on the casting of the film, trade paper Variety has said that among the actors who have been linked with the role of villain JR Ewing are John Travolta, Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones.
Variety says that Catherine Zeta-Jones is the leading candidate to play Sue Ellen, but that Jennifer Lopez and Demi Moore have also shown an interest in the role.
The film's makers want either Drew Barrymore or Reese Witherspoon to play Pam Ewing, with Matthew McConaughey and Owen Wilson linked to the role of Bobby Ewing.
Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and Mandy Moore have been eyed to play Lucy Ewing, with Jane Fonda linked to the role of Miss Ellie.
Casting is not expected to be officially announced until a rewrite of the script has been completed.
