Poor old Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas’ new vehicle, ‘The Legend of Zorro’ has received a brutal critical mauling.
The film received a big thumbs down from both sides of the Atlantic, with the Telegraph’s Tim Robey asserting:
“The script is tin-eared, the plot is stolen, while Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are out-acted by an 11-year-old in this lame sequel.”
He continues to call the film ‘dismal,’ saying: “I blame, well, everything, but particularly the script, which is so tin-eared it can only have been written by depressed cyborgs.”
If this weren’t enough he says of Welsh stunner, Zeta-Jones: [she] looks trapped like a doe in headlights by her epically silly character arc and an impressively absurd degree of décolletage. Not since Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider has an actress been so comprehensively upstaged by her own breasts.”
Lets hope Catherine was cheered up by her mammoth pay package and Antonio's, er, mammoth package itself…
