'THE Legend of Zorro" star Catherine Zeta-Zones and eternal "Sexiest Man Alive" George Clooney are the top vote getters in the 12th annual Best Tressed Survey. The survey, conducted by Sally Beauty, a distributor of professional beauty supplies, and Harris Interactive Inc., asked people to choose best and worst Hollywood hairstyles from 2005 as the celebrities gear up for the awards season.
Though Americans awarded Zeta-Jones and Clooney
for their luxurious locks, they may be more attentive in watching the red carpets for new mom Britney Spears and Donald Trump. The survey denounces these stars for more than one bad hair day in 2005.

While voting on celebrity best and worst hairstyles, this year's survey participants were also asked about their own styling habits:
-45 percent of Americans change their hairstyle less than once every five years.
-Americans cannot live without product when styling their hair: Hairspray and styling gel are their top two necessities.
-31 percent of Americans visit a hair salon every five weeks or more often.
-A cut or trim is the most popular reason to visit the beauty salon on a regular basis, with highlights or lowlights and coloring coming in second.
Twelve years ago, when Sally Beauty conducted its first Best Tressed survey, voters envied celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Heather Locklear and John Travolta for their lovely locks.
This year's female winner for best hair, Zeta-Jones,
makes the list for the first time this year. Pitt, who has made the best-hair list for several years, went from cheers to jeers this year.
