Television presenter Fern Britton has been voted the most envied celebrity in a new poll.

The curvy This Morning host is a mother of four and married to celebrity chef Phil Vickery, who recently hit out at comments in the press about Fern's size-18 figure.

She was voted the celebrity people would most like to switch lives with by women in the survey for Boots. Second for women in the poll of more than 1,000 adults was X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne.

British men chose cricketer and Ashes hero Andrew " Freddie" Flintoff as the celebrity they most wanted to be, followed by actor Tom Cruise.

Asked which star's physique they most admired, women opted for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angelina Jolie, while men chose David Beckham and Brad Pitt.

In response to a question about what part of their body they most wanted to change in 2006, men said their stomachs and most of those asked what they would like to change about their partner said the stomach.

More than eighty per cent of adults make resolutions for the new year, but 70 per cent of promises are abandoned on New Year’s Day.

Boots has launched a new campaign, 'Change One Thing', aimed at helping Britons stick to their resolutions. Launched by rugby player Jonny Wilkinson on Monday, Boots will be offering free starter kits to customers containing advice about popular resolutions such as stopping smoking, de-stressing and losing weight.
