January 12, 2006 - Director Steven Soderbergh had a good idea for Ocean's Thirteen, but proceeding with it required the involvement of George Clooney and his whole team again.

"I checked with them before we even got started, just to make sure," he explained to Coming Soon. "I said that I had an idea and I want to go back, but I'm not doing it unless everybody is on board."

Soderbergh has enjoyed the Ocean series of heist flicks. Making them hasn't been easy, but they've let him do things he couldn't do with other films. "It's ... difficult to find material that is really commercial that doesn't make you feel bad in the morning, so these are great opportunities for me."

As previously reported, Soderbergh already has a script for the movie, and production could get underway before the end of 2006. So who'll be the thirteenth? Catherine Zeta-Jones's character seems like a good bet. Will she and all the other big names involved be willing to take another pay-cut like they did in 12? Watch this spot for more news.
