HOLLYWOOD star Catherine Zeta Jones is being tipped to play a transsexual aristocrat in a new film.

Producers want the 36-year-old to portray 1960s sex-change cabaret star April Ashley, whose husband Baron Rowallan had their marriage annulled in a historic legal case.

A source told the New York Post that film chiefs have Zeta “in mind”, but added: “There’s no word on whether she’s agreed.”

Catherine has joked that hubby Michael Douglas, 61, thought she was a “man in drag” because she did not kiss him until nine months after their first date.
