'Basic Instinct' star Sharon Stone is reportedly fuming over the fact that Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones was chosen as the silver screen legend Lana Turner in a new biopic, over her even though Turner personally wanted Stone in the role.
Stone, who met the 'Peyton Place' actress before her death from throat cancer in 1995, was said to be extremely eager to play her in the forthcoming film 'Stompanato'.
"I met Lana in her final years and liked her a great deal. She said if there was to be a film made of her life, I was her choice. You can know your job, but it seems you have to be flavour-of-the-week," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
In 2005, film-maker Adrian Lyne announced that had Zeta-Jones and Keanu Reeves in the movie, which tells the story of Turner's tumultuous relationship with gangster Johnny Stompanato, who was killed by her daughter Cheryl in 1958. (ANI)
