Ray: In 2005 the Oscars were all about Jamie Foxx, who won the Best Actor award for his brilliant portrayal of soul singer Ray Charles, one of the most enduring, inimitable performers in modern music.

Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind: This quirky and fast-paced script by Charlie Kaufman won for Best Screenplay, Written Directly For The Screen.

Traffic: The outstanding ensemble cast of "Traffic" including Michael Douglas, Benicio Del Toro, Catherine Zeta Jones, Don Cheadle and Dennis Quaid stole the show in 2000 winning four awards including Best Director (Steven Soderberg) and Best Supporting Actor (Benicio Del Toro).

American Beauty: "American Beauty" was the Oscar hit in 1999 winning five awards including Best Picture, Best Director (Sam Mendes) and Best Actor (Kevin Spacey). "American Beauty" was Spacey's second Academy Award win.

Shakespeare In Love: In 1998 this movie dominated the Oscars, winning seven awards including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Best Supporting Actress (Judi Dench). Dench won the award despite being on screen for only six minutes.

Schindler's List: This inspirational tale swept the Oscars in 1994, winning seven awards including Best Picture and Best Director for Steven Spielberg. Although Spielberg had been nominated five times before, "Schindler's List" was his first Oscar win.

Cinema Paradiso: A great choice for foreign film buffs, this film, imported from Italy, won the Best Foreign Language Film in 1990.

Out of Africa: This time-sweeping romance took home seven Oscars in 1985 including Best Picture, Best Director (Sydney Pollak), Best Screen Play, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction.

Jaws: This award-winning movie instilled the fear of sharks in all of us. Who can forget the memorable music? The man behind the music, John Williams took home the Oscar for Best Score. Williams has been nominated 45 times and has won five awards.

The Lost Weekend: This film-noir won four Academy Awards in 1945 including Best Picture, Best Director (Gene Wilder), Best Actor (Ray Milland) and Best Screen Play. The Oscar for the "Lost Weekend" was one of six that Gene Wilder won throughout his career.
