MOVIE veteran Michael Douglas has launched an astonishing attack on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, mocking their relationship and adopted children.
Douglas claimed Hollywood's golden couple were unlikely to stay together. He also questioned 42-year-old Pitt's decision to leave Jennifer Aniston for Jolie, who is now pregnant with their child.
Douglas, married to Catherine Zeta Jones, said: "I don't know about Brad Pitt leaving that beautiful woman to go hold orphans for Angelina. I mean, how long is that going to last?"
Pitt was last night said to be furious at Douglas's remarks to GQ magazine.
One source said: "Brad is livid. He feels it is nobody else's business and is particularly angry as Angelina is heavily pregnant.
"And for Douglas to then make fun of Angelina's two children is beneath contempt."
Jolie adopted Maddox, six, from Cambodia and Zahara, nearly two, from Ethiopia.
Both children are orphans who now take the surname Jolie-Pitt.
Douglas, 61, launched the attack on Pitt despite being a twice-married former sex addict himself.
Referring to his marriage to Zeta Jones, he said: "You learn to respect something of value and nurture it."
