Opening ... Catherine visits sick kids in hospital

CARING Catherine Zeta Jones chats to a sick girl yesterday as she officially opened Wales’s first hospital for kids.

The Welsh movie star, 36, met young Kimberley Norris as she and Hollywood hubby Michael Douglas toured wards and unveiled a plaque.

She also paid a bedside visit to patient Ben Miles, 11 — admiring his diamond ear stud — at the opening of the first phase of the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff.

Catherine is a patron of the appeal to raise hospital funds — and has auctioned a ballgown and joined Ian Botham and Charlotte Church on a sponsored walk.

She said: “I’m very proud that we now have our dedicated children’s hospital in Wales.” Douglas, 61, called the hospital “stunning”.
