Zeta-Jones denies anorexia rumors

Savannah, Ga. -- Welsh and U.S. actress Catherine Zeta-Jones says exercising and avoiding bread -- not anorexia -- are why she is looking trim these days, People.com reported.

Savannah, Ga. -- Welsh and U.S. actress Catherine Zeta-Jones says exercising and avoiding bread -- not anorexia -- are why she is looking trim these days, People.com reported.

The Oscar-winning "Chicago" star and her husband, Michael Douglas, attended the Savannah (Ga.) Film Festival Saturday, so Douglas could pick up a lifetime achievement award for acting.

"Michael was laughing at me. He told me what (people had) said -- that stories say I'm anorexic. Do I look anorexic?" she said to People magazine at the film festival. "How could I ever, ever be anorexic?"

Zeta-Jones, who is the mother of two small children, admitted her eating habits may have changed a bit recently.

She said that in the past, she was a "bread girl," but nowadays, "I'm just working out and not chomping down what I usually chomp down."

The actress also told People she is bothered by the attention paid to women's weight.

"There are many women (who are) maybe a little fragile, and it becomes a huge issue," she said.
