Catherine Zeta-Jones shows off more than her range

Wednesday, February 13th 2008, 9:44 PM

Those hips don't lie.

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones bares her midriff in a breath-taking belly-dancing scene in the upcoming movie, "Death Defying Acts." The movie, due out later this year, stars Guy Pearce as the escape artist Harry Houdini and Zeta-Jones as the psychic who steals his heart.

Judging by these recently released movie stills, we can see why.

Zeta-Jones proved she could move her world-famous gams in the 2003's Chicago, a performance which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. But in Zephyr Films' "Death Defying Acts," the 38-year-old mother of two proves she has plenty of moves left.

The Welsh-born actress married actor Michael Douglas, 62, in 2000 and the Hollywood power couple have two kids together - son, Dylan, seven, and daughter Carys, 4. Perhaps it was fate: the two lovebirds, though two and a half decades apart in age, share the same birthday, Sept. 25.

In an interview with Parade magazine last year, Zeta-Jones revealed Douglas's pick-up line was, "I want to father your children."

"Death Defying Acts" follows the exploits of Houdini as he arrives in Edinburgh for the grand finale of his 1926 world tour in 1926. His path crosses with Mary, played by Zeta-Jones, when he offers a prize to any psychic who can contact his dead mother and reveal her last words.

Mary obviously reveals much, much more.
