NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - "National Treasure" veteran Justin Bartha will star opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones in "The Rebound," a romantic comedy about the relationship between a younger man and an older woman.

Bartha plays a 25-year-old man who starts an unlikely romance with his single-mother neighbor (Zeta-Jones).

Writer/director Bart Freundlich, who is nine years younger than his wife, actress Julianne Moore, will start shooting the film in New York this month.

Bartha starred opposite Nicolas Cage in both "National Treasure" movies, playing tech expert Riley Pool. He also had a small role in Freundlich's last film, 2005's "Trust the Man." That movie created a stir at the Toronto International Film Festival when Fox Searchlight snapped it up in a bidding war; it grossed only $1.5 million at the box office.

"Rebound" marks one of the first projects for Film Department, a nascent indie production company.
